Tigre River

Fly-fishing in Chile in the Tigre River

The wild Tigre River runs through two valleys of the Palena Province, and has four main sections in which to fish.

Fishing here is an exciting challenge. Unlike the placid Palena River, the Tigre has a lot of white water, so your experience here will be very different from the lake fishing you'll find in other destinations.

You can fish here from the riverbank, but you can also hop onto a katarraft for a more immersive fishing experience. Either way, you'll be surrounded by stunning flora and fauna, and with luck, you'll find the valuable "Fontinalis Trout".
